Swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving are all found along the coastline. Another popular Poipu activity is deep-sea fishing.
Those who choose not to participate in water sports can enjoy local hiking, surfing, mountain biking, horseback riding, and ATV tours. A variety of coastal cruises and helicopter tours provide excellent aerial views of the beauty surrounding Poipu. Golfers also have a variety of courses to choose from just a few minutes away. With two 18-hole championship courses designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Poipu offers some of the finest golf in Hawaii. Although lavish and luxurious, the courses feature attractive green fees, packages, and special discounts throughout the year for golfers who play multiple rounds or book afternoon tee times. Other local attractions include the Spouting Horn, National Tropical Botanical Gardens, Koloa Heritage Trail, and Moir Gardens.
