With only 700 residents, Hana is not only one of the smallest towns but also one of the most isolated places in the state. Reached mainly via the Hana Highway, drivers from Kahului must endure the twisting and winding 56-mile long highway along Maui's northern shore. However, the drive is well worth it. Hana features several crystal-clear and pristine swimming holes on the shores of the Haleakala National Park. Residents of real estate homes or condominiums for sale can also utilize the small local jetty and a regional airport with regular commuter service. Nonetheless, Hana’s isolation and distance from other areas of civilization adds to the exclusivity and unique surroundings of the town.
