With a total population of 31,000 people, Pearl City is located along the north shore of Pearl Harbor, a principal American naval base, and was originally developed as a convenient neighborhood for people working at the Pearl Harbor. Located in south-central Oahu and overlooking the harbor, Pearl City witnessed the Japanese surprise attack on the harbor in 1941 that triggered the United States’ entry into World War II. Nonetheless, Pearl City has since grown into a diversified residential neighborhood serving as a suburb to many locations around Oahu. Residents of Pearl City real estate houses or condominiums for sale enjoy the area’s convenient location in relation to all parts of Oahu, are attracted to the neighborhood assortment of big-box and local retailers, and agree that the tight-knit community is much more valuable than the average homes in the area.
